I try to go to windows update and Windows says it stopped working and needs to restart. Well, I keep looking for my Windows to display. Then comes the other updates to Java and Adobe and Acrobat. Then it tells me I do not have an account registered with them. First thing to come up is my Securtiy Center. I was expecting all kinds of updates to display. Right away I notice that my maintenence center does not pop up. Was working normally when I shut it down and has not been on since. I have been using Avast for a very long time and never had any problems. I have HP Pavillion Dv7 Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 bit SP1. Been browsing around and haven't seen this exact problem yet.
